What is creativity to you?
For me, creativity is about being able to create or express emotions. I often strive to want to experience or arouse a certain emotion in the things I do.
Who do you look up to?
I look up to everyone who dares to be themselves in everything they do. But if I were to choose someone specific that I look up to, it would probably have to be [American interior designer] Kelly Wearstler and her way of being completely free in creating and assembling materials and objects into completely magical creations and moods. I just think she’s super cool.

What do you think of when you hear the word ‘sustainability’?
There are so many aspects of sustainability, but designing objects to satisfy the soul for a long time is something I believe in – to work timelessly with shapes and materials that will age with grace.
“What we surround ourselves with, affects how we feel, so why not design objects and spaces that you can feel good about for a long time.”

What is your favourite part of the creative process?
I really like being in the beginning of the creative process, where thoughts can flow freely and you don’t really know where to end up. But I have to say I also love it when you start to see results, the feeling of seeing a thought come true is unbeatable, especially if the road has not been straight – it rarely is – but there is also something beautiful in it, you always learn something new.
What inspires you?
It can be anything really, but a lot of thoughts come up when traveling in the car or by train, just looking out of the window listening to music. Since music is moving in itself, I always feel extra attached to it while moving myself, it could be in a dance or in a vehicle.
