SOÀ’s pillowcases are produced in Jiangsu province in easter China – the silk mecca, known for their traditional silk production. The silk is OEKO TEK-certified and isn’t produced using environmentally hazardous chemicals.
Silk is a very interesting fabric when it comes to haircare. It is naturally hypoallergenic, contains sericin and is resistant to dust mites, fungus, mold and bacteria, unlike your regular cotton pillowcase. Interestingly, silk also contains 18 esssential amino acids that can also be found in our own hair, and are known for their effectiveness in hair and skin nutrition. A silk pillowcase won’t absorb moisture or skin oils, instead staying fresh and non-greasy. The smooth surface creates less friction on the hair, reducing hair breakage, split ends and frizz. It also prevents the forming of fine lines, and will make sure you never wake up with sleep lines again!
