Tell us about your work in a few words!

My work takes a closer look at quotidian movements of the body in everyday life. I intend to record the movements in material by squeezing, pressing or stepping on clay, and it becomes my area of research. I build abstract figurative ceramic sculptures that create and recreate scenarios of the mundane in an imaginative alternation of reality.

What is your favourite part of the creative process?

Getting messy and muddy. To be in the material is just a part of the work in an artistic practice and yet having my hands in the clay is still like getting to the core of things.

What materials are your favourite to work with?

The best material in the word, clay!

Who do you look up to?

People that stay curious and caring for the strange, foreign or simply different.

What do you think of when you hear the word «sustainability”?

I think that we need to find ways of thinking and living to improve and not make things worse. Sustainability is a heavy loaded word and there are different kinds, yet they are equally important.
