Get to Know: Bex Fagerholt of H2OFAGERHOLT
Mothers are an integral part of our lives. We learn from them, look up to them and rely on them. Quite often, our mothers are the first individuals who teach us the foundations of dressing and style, and Bex Fagerholt sees this through and through. Bex’s mother is Julie Fagerholt and together, the two make up Danish contemporary activewear brand H2OFagerholt. The Danish label, headed by this dynamic duo, is a contemporary approach to activewear that blurs the lines between all aspects of life. Functional, chic, and the epitome of Scandinavian cool, H2OFagerholt has been sported by the likes of Pernille Teisbaek, Bella Hadid, and Kim Kardashian.

“My mother has been my business partner since I was 16 years old, which is a privilege and I’m so proud to work with her and to have all of her hard work continue in a new generation,” shares Bex. “Our mother-daughter bond is so special. We can go into the office, be business partners and then the next minute we can have that mother and daughter relationship, and I’m so thankful that I know my mother so well and I can see so many different sides of her.”
Gathering inspiration from everyday people and in her day-to-day life, Bex sees the value of her work and its impact on others: “It’s very cold in the winter in Denmark, so for example when I see a woman coming home from work and her phone is ringing, her jacket falls down and her wrist is getting cold then I know I would have to put an extra 2cm on the winter jackets so that would not happen. My inspiration comes from thinking about our customers and it brings me a lot of happiness to see people wearing our fashion because both me and my mother really think about our customers.” Bex’s goal is to make fashion functional and wearable for all.
In her spare time, you can find Bex writing poems or painting. For her, “It’s not about being successful and famous or rich, it’s about doing what you’re good at.” H2OFagerholt is her passion and in each piece, her passion shows.

Must-have fashion items you can’t live without? A dress that’s sexy and elegant it’s a must-have for me. And a jumpsuit when it gets colder at night or a two piece set.
Biggest style inspiration? I always had my own style, it comes from some weird place inside of my head. I just know what I like and what I want to wear and how to put it together But I do love Jimi Hendrix styles as he designed his own suits. I love humans with a unique style, especially my friends and family as they have the best taste in my eyes.
How would you describe this summer’s style? Simple and clean, extra and casual with a touch of futuristic vibes for this summer.
How has this past year with lockdown and COVID changed fashion and style? COVID made everybody a little bit more casual and down-to-earth and H2OFagerholt is the definition of this.
