Since 1873, jeans have been the preferred work trousers for millions of people. Today, jeans have the title of ‘most worn garment in the world across genders’. So, without further ado, here are our favourite jeans from a host of Nordic brands you need to know and should be wearing…
WEEKDAY High Wide Jeans
The ‘Ace Jeans’ from WEEKDAY are turning out to be one of the most popular styles of 2021. The boxy legs and high-waist have charmed women all over Scandinavia due to their laid-back, easy-to-wear silhouette.
These jeans take us back to our love of N’SYNC and 90’s hip hop, and can be dressed up or down – thrown on a vintage baseball tee for everyday, or glittery halter neck for that all important weekly wine with friends (inside, of course). ?

ARKET Patchwork Denim Jeans
Patchwork is one of the newest patterns being applied denim, and I love seeing the various shades of blue break up, what can otherwise, be a monotonous outfit – don’t worry Britney and JT, there is always a space for you in our hearts. ?
ARKET have just released a new circular collection of patchwork denim which uses upcycled denim from their in-store recycling program. This means that each pair of jeans is unique and truly circular. A lot of retail recycling programs are not as sustainable as you think, so we are so glad to see ARKET putting old garments to good use! It’s like wearing sustainable art!

Monki Taiki Straight Leg Blue Jeans
You will find five pairs of these jeans in my wardrobe. No joke. These are my favourite jeans all of time, maybe I am a little bias, as I have worked for Monki for a while now. But, hear me out! The high-waist and slightly loose legs create the perfect feminine, boyfriend fit.

Organic Basics are the new kids on the Scandi sustainable block, but have already made a huge impact on how the fashion industry works!

Levi’s® X GANNI High-Waist Straight Jeans
During Copenhagen Fashion Week last summer, GANNI introduced their first collaboration with world purveyors of denim, Levi’s. The two brands have collaborated on a small capsule collection, consisting of classic fitting denim that will last a lifetime.
Some of the styles are made from hemp cotton, which take less water to grow. Another thing which makes this collection unique and exciting, is that you can borrow the jeans as part of the brand’s rental service – a truly sustainable and circular service. And let’s be honest, the more GANNI that’s on me, the happier I am! ?
