Axel Arigato are Launching a Resale Platform with Reflaunt

Axel Arigato has become a household name for sneakers and casual streetwear since their conception in 2014. Now, the brand are launching a pre-loved initiative with resale powerhouse Reflaunt, which will see customers be able to sell and shop pre-owned clothing and footwear from the brand, keeping items out of the landfill and your wardrobe stocked with newness. Axel Arigato Exchange will be available initially in the UK, France, Germany and Sweden, with other markets opening up at a later date.

The sneaker resale market is estimated to be worth $6 billion, with a 5x increase in 10 years, so it makes sense for the brand to invest in this while doing their part for their customers and the environment. As well as consumers buying and selling through the platform, Axel Arigato will be able to use it to offer samples and past season pieces, meaning you going to NEED to get involved, because we all know exclusive colour ways and one-offs are the lifeblood of the resale sneaker (and clothing) industry.

By combining Reflaunt’s deep expertise in resale technology and Axel Arigato’s community-driven brand, we look forward to partnering to bring to
customers a seamless and fully customised resale experience.
— Stephanie Crespin, CEO & Founder Reflaunt

Albin Johansson, the brand’s CEO, highlights how important is for the brand to do their part in the fight for better buying and sustainability, “For us, it’s about creating a brand that adapts to the changing needs of our community and customers and being agile enough to provide solutions.” One interesting aspect of the platform is that after 3 months of being available only to the Alex Arigato community, the items will then go on sale to Reflaunt’s global community, ensuring exclusiveness, but also eyes and sales.

The platform launches on 1st December, but make sure to sign up for updates HERE, so you don’t miss out on those pieces you’ve been coveting!
