Pernille Teisbæk X Mango: Sexy, Simple Essentials for Any Scandi Fashion Lover
Today, MANGO released its newest collaboration with Danish stylist and social media influencer, Pernille Teisbæk. Although they have collaborated on projects in the past, this will be the first time that Tesibæk has worked with the design team to put together a full collection!
“I wanted to create a collection that would endure over time with special pieces. These essentials are, for me, garments that can be worn both during the day and at night, such as jeans, a white t-shirt, or a classic tailored jacket,” says Pernille about the garments that are found in her collection.
This special capsule collection is composed of twenty pieces: fusing together Teisbæk’s Nordic style with MANGO’s brand DNA. With the continuing presence of sustainability as an important factor in the Nordic fashion industry, the items in the collection are made from sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. Flowing silhouettes and classic cuts set the tone, on a backdrop of neutral tones such as whites and beiges, with hints of deep blues and blacks.
A personal favourite of mine is the long, grey coat which oozes Scandinavian cool. A perfect piece for the fall and winter months, this coat is a great basic that goes with everything. Additionally, being not black is a plus for consumers who want a darker coat option, but want to try something new. The all-black dress and trousers ensemble is a sexy, but simple update to a two-piece look, and the dress can definitely be worn by itself with over-the-knee boots and a leather jacket for a more party-inspired look. The pants are dramatic, with a wide, statement leg, which I would recommend pairing with a short, tight top to help even out the proportions, or a cropped chunky sweater for a lazy, but put-together brunch outfit.
