BIOEFFECT Team Up With Icelandic Artist Shoplifter on Limited Edition EGF Serum
Piece of art and award-winning serum in one? BIOEFFECT never stops surprising us. For their 10-year anniversary the brand designed a unique bottle of their famous EGF serum in cooperation with Icelandic, Brooklyn-based artist Shoplifter aka Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir. What a duo!
The serum, containing plant (barley) produced EGF, has many fans all over the world. EGF, a growth factor, is a solution for the skin’s ageing process – it minimizes fine lines and wrinkles, and gives your skin a healthy radiance. This time BIOEFFECT, again profiting from the purity of Icelandic glacial water, is basing their limited edition serum on a rare, newly patented, black barley – pushing the boundaries of science has its benefits. The new formula contains melanin and a double concentration of EGF, which comforts your skin even more.
“The range of colour from clear to black is at the heart of my concept, and how the magic of nature and science can merge and influence a work of art.”
The visual side of this collaboration obviously cannot be left unmentioned. This mysterious, colour reflecting bottle is completely magical. Obsidian-style rock surrounds the bottle, and reflects Iceland’s lave-formed nature and black sand. Playing a game of contrasts, Hrafnhildur wanted the bottle shape and style to contrast the form it sat it, and reflect a more scientific. The hypnotic, iridescent sheen reflects the products magical effect on the skin, and gives the product a true elixir feel. .Together BIOEFFECT and Hrafnhildur have created a mesmerising tribute to a cult beauty product, and we can’t take our eyes off it.
