PILGRIM and Soeren Le Schmidt Collaborate on Bold Jewellery Collection
Bold, eye-catching, and industrial are just a few of the words I would use to describe the new collaboration between Danish jewellery brand PILGRIM and Danish fashion designer Soeren le Schmidt. This limited, seven-piece collection, showcases the perfect marriage between the legacy and elegance of PILGRIM, and the modern, and much-heralded aesthetic of Soeren le Schmidt.
PILGRIM was founded in 1983 by Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen. With both having a huge love for music, PILGRIM jewellery was first sold at festivals, and then went to expand into more commercial markets. Although the brand has grown substantially since its small beginnings, Annemette and Thomas’ passion for their craft, and the desire to make their customers feel beautiful has never wavered.
Soeren le Schmidt focuses on the details of every piece that he creates, and takes his inspiration from architecture and music, which is very prevalent in this collaboration with PILGRIM. The fusion of Tokyo underground and rock n’ roll is the perfect way to describe this collaboration and his brand, and it’s no surprise that the pair hit it off.
Earlier this year, Le Schmidt worked with PILGRIM for his AW20 catwalk show during Copenhagen Fashion Week, and they have built on the initial collaboration to create a fully-fledged collection that infuses both of the brands’ DNA. At CPHFW, statement-worthy chokers and belts were utilized to create bold, one-of-a-kind looks, teamed with necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. The pieces are made from zinc or brass and coated in gold or silver. My personal favorite is the thick, industrial choker, which gives a bold statement and features beautifully intricate screws and other small details – paired with a simple black dress, this choker could easily take your classic look to the next level! The chained necklace is more chunky, and gives a nod to the 90s, but in a modern way, and features the Soeren le Schmidt monogram, which has already become somewhat of a signature for the designer.
The limited edition collection is a beautiful fusion of the two brands, and we certainly want it all! Pieces range from 349 DKK to 599 DKK and have just gone on sale. All items can be purchased online via PILGRIM’s website. Hurry!
