OUR FAVOURITE: SUMMER DRESSES
Summer is here, which means dress and bare leg season! With Copenhagen Fashion Week coming up, and bars and restaurants opening again (mostly) across the globe, we’ve put together a selection of our favourite dresses from some of our favourite Scandi designers. Whether you’re going on a sunny picnic, or getting drinks at your favourite cocktail bar, these dresses are perfect for any occasion.
Helmstedt: Extra Width Dress in ‘Sky’
Helmstedt is one of our favourite smaller Danish fashion brands, and they were awarded the Magasin Du Nord Fashion Prize in 2018. Their designs are a combination of between comfort, colours and prints. Every print is hand-painted by Emilie Helmstedt herself in Copenhagen using vibrant oil paints, and then digitally reproduced and printed onto sustainable fabrics. This dress is the perfect encapsulation of laying on warm summer grass, and looking up at the bright blue sky. The breezy fabric and oversized silhouette makes this dress perfect for days and nights in the city!

GANNI: Silk Stretch Satin Dress in ‘Alaskan Blue’
GANNI have remodelled their classic square neckline dress in new patterns for this summer, with this ‘Alaskan Blue’ variation as the perfect reminder of our days at the beach. Style this dress with flip-flops and a sunhat for a day in the countryside, or wear it with heels and fancy jewellery for an evening out.
& Other Stories: Voluminous Floral Smock Mini Dress
This dress is the perfect accompaniment to picking berries, and searching through local vintage markets. The sustainable collection from & Other Stories is inspired by vintage Victorian nightgowns, but this dress has been modernised by adding statement balloon sleeves. We love the Cecilie Bhansen inspired look, and think this is perfect with gladiator sandals or chunky sneakers.

Gina Tricot: Short Sleeve Denim Dress
Every wardrobe needs a denim dress, as they are perfect for warm days and cooler nights, and this dress from Swedish high-street retailer Gina Tricot is just right. The dress is less heavy than some other denim dresses, due to the light blue wash, and the waist belt elevates the silhouette. As one of the more affordable options on this list, all you need is a pair of statement earrings and some strappy sandals to complete this look.
Rotate Birger Christensen: Heather Dress Tiger Muted in ‘Lime’
I fell in love with the mix of this yellow and brown tiger print from ROTATE. The combination of the two colours is elegant but fun, and gives the dress a glamping, safari feeling. Another thing I love about this dress is that comes in several cuts, so there is something for everyone, and all occasions. I have fallen in love with the long sleeves and puffy shoulders of the ‘Heather’ silhouette, which gives the perfect girl boss feeling.
