Swedish Songwriter Lilly Ahlberg Releases Debut EP ‘Call Me’

Honest, liberating and 100 per cent herself. Swedish singer-songwriter Lilly Ahlberg says her debut EP highlights the “highs and lows of falling in love and finding myself through adolescence to adulthood.” ‘Call Me’ is a selection of songs Lilly wrote over the course of her first few years in London. Inspired by the sounds of her contemporaries in Sweden, and artists abroad, she’s fast making an impact on the Swedish and international music market.

‘Call Me’ leads with the title single, written in collaboration with Justin Tranter (who’s also worked with Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande), and produced by Jerker Hansson and Anthony Kilhoffer (whose other clients include Zara Larsson and Kanye West). It follows with ‘Moonlight’, a crisp pop statement.

Ahlberg shot to fame when she was 14, releasing covers on YouTube. Her first single came out two years ago, and she was drawn in to provide vocals for the Sonny Fodera hit ‘The Moment’. Describing herself as a ‘nomad’, Ahlberg’s roots are firmly based in Älmhult, though she was born in Italy and has lived in Norway, Australia and the UK.
