Spring has arrived, March has come and gone, and some exciting things have happened…

  • First of all, WE LAUNCHED THE FIRST ISSUE OF OUR PRINT MAGAZINE! After months of hard work from the NSM team and a host of talented contributors from across the Nordic countries, we hit the shelves in the USA and Iceland. The magazine has sold out in a host of stores across North America and it has been so exciting for us to see you all get your hands on a copy.   • Halldóra worked with several exciting fashion design labels, such as Olympia Le-tan and Alexander McQueen, before ultimately returning to her homeland of Iceland to start her very own company Sif Benedicta. The brand’s first collection is an eye-popping mix of unexpected colours and nostalgic shapes that we love.

  • Reykjavik’s DesignMarch celebrated it’s 10th anniversary this year, packed with more discussions, talks, parties, exhibitions and design deals than you can image! Catch up on all the highlights HERE.
  • Editorial: A Touch of Folk – “The inspiration for this work came from the admiration of ancient people that still maintain their way of expressing themselves through their clothes and customs.”  Alain Egues
  • Deadwood celebrates 5 years of creating recycled leather jackets with history. We sat down with the brand’s founders Carl and Felix to chat about where Deadwood has come from and where it will go.
  • During DesignMarch we celebrated the launch of our printed magazine with an exciting little party in downtown Reykjavík at Nostra where people drank, ate, danced and admired the new issue! Couldn’t make it? Don’t worry, you can relive all the fun HERE.
