Weekday has long been one of my favorite stores. To me their brand stands for fashion that has a contemporary edge at an affordable cost. This spring the Swedish retailer will launch its first ever eyewear collection, consisting of sunglasses in eight different styles. Now, of course, it’s a unisex collection and this time the inspiration was fetched from tourism in large urban areas. Each frame is named in accordance with the inspiration, ranging from Voyager and Gate to Jetlag and Exit.
I think the models look great, the photos are really nice and I love the fact that they used so many different looking people for their campaign and lookbook photos. The diversity can be seen in the collection as well, even though not to the same extent. The colors are mostly silver and black with the occasional dash of color and the eyewear design doesn’t really bring anything new to the table. So conclusion – will I get a pair? Probably. Have I seen this before? Definitely.
