This magical night lucky viewers witnessed bewitching models showcasing Another Creation’s feminine yet edgy design while strutting along the beat of a lone drummer, creating a unique vibe. The opening show of the second night at Reykjavík Fashion Festival starts with a dazzling bang.
Designer Ýr Þrastardóttir draws inspiration from her five-month adventure in China for the FW 17/18 collection resulting in Another Creation’s most colourful line to date. Noticeable rich green, red and metallic pieces are predominant in high-end materials such as silk, fur, Italian cashmere and Icelandic leather, giving the collection a somewhat cohesive elegance while highlighting the beauty of quirky detailing and charismatic prints.
What makes Another Creation unique is the brand’s core value; Sustainability. The design has a clever twist as the gorgeous pieces can easily be transformed into a new design with little effort. On top of that, consumers have the option to customize the design by purchasing add-ons to suit their individual style. The thought behind this feature is to show how design can shed a positive light on the fashion industry and to raise awareness of waste.
We love that Another Creation offers individuals the chance to be fashionable while simultaneously being environmentally friendly, this is something that is close to our hearts here at Nordic Style Magazine.
