The Weeknd Loves Sweden

If you haven’t already heard – The Weeknd has announced that he’s starring in the new H&M spring/summer 2017 campaign. The pop and R&B superstar Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, will – for what we know now – be picking key items from the Swedish brand’s menswear collection.

Tesfaye is a remarkable artist and the footprints he’s leaving on the cultural scene surely has shown that his artistry is something else. His personal style channels mostly black comfortable shirts or bomber jackets. Looking back at H&M’s previous collaborations this one feels a bit unexpected – unexpected in a good way. Lately, H&M has taken a big step towards a younger and more conscious crowd. The collaboration will launch in March 2017 and we believe that Tesfaye is going to add a new touch to the Swedish fashion house, what do you think?

The 26-year-old star entered the fashion scene when it got official that he dated supermodel Bella Hadid. Besides being the new face of H&M’s spring campaign, Tesfaye is running his own clothing brand XO while releasing his fourth album Starboy and being the most streamed artist on Spotify.
