Yes it is true that the wait is over, yesterday Weekday released their Autumn/Winter-16 collection in stores. This season is said to continue where the last season left off. With subcultural heroes in mind – heroes who take a stand in what they believe in – Weekday have created long-lasting pieces that, with both strong colors and materials, create an aesthetically and minimalistic impression with futuristic infusions.
The collection truly emphasizes the art of expressing yourself through clothing with a design playing with length, cuts and layers. Like a puzzle the garments, and the unisex accessories, lets us compose a look that will show what strong – subcultural – individuals we are. In the collection we find warm materials such as boiled wool, leather pieces and heavy knits being the prominent ones. Nuances of green and yellow are the keynotes while colours such as black and creamy white creates an overall calming tone. This is an incredibly elaborated collection in true Scandinavian spirit, and we love it!
You can find the collection online here.
The lookbook itself is like a work of art and no wonder when the stylist behind it is the well known stylist, creative consultant and fashion director Columbine Smille.
