Swedish sunglasses brand Supermarket has teamed up with none other than the queen of fashion; Chiara Ferragni, from The Blonde Salad. It is on The Blonde Salads ‘upgraded’ site where you can shop the sunglasses.
In December 2014, created by the siblings Filip and Petra Thoms, Supermarket saw its first daylight. The Stockholm-based brand presents carefully handmade sunglasses in high quality acetat – and offers luxury for a decent price. The multitalented siblings do everything from shooting the campaigns to work with the website and designing the sunglasses, together.
Filip from the brand tells me that they got in contact with The Blonde Salad during the summer of 2015 when Ferragni started wearing their sunglasses. In October the same year they flew to Milan and started working on the collaboration – which ended up in an amazing cat eyed frame in two different colors, named ”TACO”.
I asked what a collaboration like this means for a small, newstarted, brand.
– Chiara Ferragni is one of the most influential bloggers these days with 6,6 million followers world wide. The fact that she likes what we are doing is incredible. The only fair thing to say is that it is a collaboration that means extremely much for us, Filip says.
Since last summer we’ve seen miss Ferragni wear the brand and since September 6th it is possible to buy the collaboration on theblondesalad.com – where we also find collaborations with brands such as Levis, IRO and MSGM.
