Nordic News: week 25

Big week this week with more designer collaborations, new store openings and the celebration of a big Nordic holiday. Get updated with our weekly Nordic News. 

-This week was Midsummer, a holiday which celebrates summer, food and family. Midsummer is celebrated across Scandinavia but is most popular in Sweden and Finland.

-The Danish brand Soulland (pictured above) has announced a new collaboration with Nike Skateboarding. We aren’t sure what the project will result in yet, but Soulland’s specialty is T-shirts so we can only take that as a hint.

Whyred is joining forces with Pierre Robert to create an underwear line. The collection will be launched at the end of August and will be titled Pierre Robert Designer Collection by Whyred.

-Kim Grennaa (creative director at Grenaa Creative/contributor at Elle Denmark) has teamed up with Vero Moda and created their SS16 campaign which focuses on sun, friends, and eternal summer.

-The Danish beauty brand New Nordic has chosen Carmen Electra to be the new campaign model for their popular “Skin Care Collagen Filler.”

-The Norwegian eyewear company Kaibosh will open two new stores Copenhagen. The stores were designed with the help of the Swedish design company Snask who wanted to create a “colorful shop that inspires people to play with style.”
