FWSthlm – Beckmans Fashion Collaboration 2016

BECKMANS FASHION COLLABORATION 2016

Beckman College of Design showed their fashion collaboration at Berns on the last day of Fashion Week in Stockholm. Fourteen third-year Fashion students presented their collections, a collaboration with seven Swedish Fashion Brands. The brands represented were Carin Wester, Cheap Monday, Filippa K, House of Dagmar, Ida Sjöstedt and Whyred. Here are our three favourites!

Victor Lind x House of Dagmar.

This collection felt earthy and young. The models walked barefoot down the runway which added the natural experience. Grey, beige and white dominated and interesting cuts could be seen in both coats and pants. Lind succeeded in keeping a Scandinavian aura but in a grungy kind of way.

Leather, shiny boots, orange, black and white. The photos speaks for themselves, but this one is exactly what I expected and want to see in a collaboration with Cheap Monday.

Scandinavian minimalism together with innovative cuts. Both thin materials and padded jackets worked as key pieces and the colour palette was mainly natural colours and bright red. The last outfit with cropped red pants and the white jacket is definitely something I would love to see more of!
