CPHFW – Lovechild 1979 AW16

Feminine and confident. Lovechild 1979 presented a collection that represented growing up, becoming a woman and dealing with the desire of sticking out yet be comfortable in her own self.

The show started to the tones of a moaning female voice  – maybe a reference to the troubling teenage years that play such a big part in who we will become. The collection presented a take of this period in life. “Young at heart” made with a classic approach and mature finish. The pieces had clean lines with interesting silhouettes conveying a subdued daringness.

The color palette were mostly dark with fresh elements of bright turquoise, greens and a splash of pink. The vibe oozed 90’s with tank top layering and pattern work. Other components were lace, velvet and astronomical print with stars and half moons, a trend that also could be seen in the Federico D´ Angelo collection. A favorite piece was a midnight blue all velvet look and the beautiful full length coats in moss green and dark burgundy.

In the end, Lovechild 1979 create a very wearable collection that probably we probably will be seeing on the streets really soon.
