CPHFW – Henrik Vibskov S/S16

Classic Henrik Vibskov designs in a spectacular and crowded show – we can’t wait to wear these pieces next summer.

Henrik Vibskov closed the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week at the main stage of City Hall. He had created a living runway with performers in full printed bodysuits, but the runway also had life buzzing around itself. The City Hall was full of press, buyers and bloggers, all trying to find the spot with the best view as this was probably one of the most crowded shows of fashion week. Henrik Vibskov’s shows are known for being spectacular, and this one didn’t let us down either.

The collection “The Hot Spray Escape” felt like classic Henrik Vibskov – oversized headwear, white and black looks and lots of fun, creative prints. While Henrik Vibskov has a great deal of creativity in his works his designs are always very wearable and the silhouettes stay minimalistic and loose, true to the classic Scandinavian aesthetics. The prints were colorful on black and white garments. We found lots of pieces we loved, and this Editor especially liked the long shirt dresses and the oversized knitted grey jumper. The white and black print seen below on one of the female models was also a hit and feels summer appropriate, not only because of the color, but also since the print looks like some kind of surrealist hot desert.
