FLEXA play is a colourful furniture collection for children developed in collaboration with Danish designer Charlotte Høncke. The collection features a series of fun and colourful furniture from cribs and beds to play-tables and storage-benches. FLEXA play strives to combine functionality and design in a fun and modern way.
The furniture is made from ash with painted details in pastel colours, such as mint green, yellow, pink and white.
Versatility was an important factor in the making of the pieces which are certainly made with children and play in mind, although not limited to suit only a child’s room. The play-table can act as a coffee-table and the stools as nightstands to add a playful touch to the home décor.
“I’m hoping that my designs will create conditions for a pleasant environment for a child’s sleep and play. FLEXA play is developed from the idea of children wanting to be in their parents’ surroundings, and that for that reason many families have childrens’ furniture in their living-room or kitchen”, says designer Charlotte Høncke about designing the collection.
The foundation of FLEXA play is that the furniture appeals specifically to each customer and their children as it lets them get creative in choosing colours and assembling the pieces. There are no rules – only the limits of the imagination.
The new FLEXA play furniture will be available at all Bohus stores from May 2015.
