RFF 2015 ⎮ SIGGA MAIJA AW15 collection

Last night Friday the 13th the annual Reykjavik Fashion Festival kicked off for the 6th time. With the AW15 showcases from two highly anticipated designers: SIGGA MAIJA & JÖR by Guðmundur Jörundsson.

First to hit the runway was fearless newcomer SIGGA MAIJA, founded in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2014. The designer came into the scene with a cutting edge & badass bang and this year she took it to a whole new level while staying true to her sharp & playful tailoring aesthetic.

The show commenced with a dim light filling the room to the sounds of simmering & heavy rain drops only for a bright orange silk silhouette to hit the runway marking her territory to a hard core electro track. The designs showed drips of sensual masculinity & effortless tailoring with the signature playful SIGGA MAIJA cut creating an alluring silhouette. With styling to perfection the collection had a stunning movement, an almost liquid black flow with the models every move. Adding elements of bright prints, pvc, soft silk with focus on edgy cuts, SIGGA MAIJA has arrived & the conclusion is simplicity is bold.
