RFF 2015 ⎮ Scintilla AW15 collection

Scintilla, has long been a household textile brand bringing avant-garde & graphic ideas onto home decor items. Founder & Head-Designer, Linda Björg Árnadóttir, is for the first time venturing into the fashion scene & simultaneously showing her first clothing collection at this years RFF.  And the results were a endearing romance between graphic patterns & soft textiles.

The show instantly gave off a natural & romantic vibe, with mirrored boxed as runway display being a playful connection to the flirty & soft AW15 collection. The line showed an utmost admiration to the stunning colours and shapes of the Icelandic landscape & nature, being the main focus seen on the textiles in the shapes of reflecting mountains, the horizon & midnight sun. Most interestingly Scintilla is playing with its own world of prints & fabric creations, paying great attention to organic features of the clothing & patterns. The intrinsic pastel colours seen on the knit- & jersey clothing was a true affirmation of Scintilla’s signature graphic strokes, as if painted across the canvas on each model.
