CPH Fashion Week – Designers Remix A/W 2015

The second day of Copenhagen Fashion Week took us on a fast ride at the CPH GoKart, where the Designers Remix Autumn/Winter 2015 took place. Painted tires, red lights and a small hint to what we were about to see was suggested in the collection’s title “Racing to the past” highlighted on the walls.

Unlike the signature edgy styles and architectural shapes of Designers Remix, the focus slowly shifted to the 70’s, the decade of growing feminism and sexual liberation. This is mixed with race-vibes represented through the choice of location. The key styles include those iconic for the 70’s, such as flared pants, neat fitted coats, cropped tops and the tie ribbon shirt. And to emphasise the combination of this with race-vibes, the Creative Director Charlotte Eskildsen combined these key pieces with race-wear items, like bodysuits, bomber jackets, different types of quilt and waist belts. The overall focus of the collection is to highlight the female body while creating a soft and light, yet powerful impression. This is also being accentuated through the fabric choice, which was a wide range of organic soft materials, including rya rugs, cork, wood and furniture wool. The colour palette consisted of bold earthy shades, such as rust, electric lilac, pearl white, mint, grey and brown, mixed with Designers Remix’s signature colour: black. And to complete the 70s style the models’ hairstyle featured brow-skimming bangs.

Designers Remix, for every ready-to-race woman

The Designers Remix Autumn/Winter 2015 collection is focused on empowering woman through a mixture between feminine soft styles and sexy race wear. Truly dedicated to the unapologetic free-spirited woman who is ready to race. Go, go, go women power!!!
