[block_quote cite=’- Beinta Poulsen’] “The J Autumn Fashion Show was a surreal and amazing event” [/block_quote]
On October 31st, the Eiffel Tower transformed into a catwalk with haute couture and prêt à porter fashion from eight brands from around the world. The J Autumn Fashion Show was another remarkable event showcased by Jessica Minh Anh, a model turned fashion entrepreneur. The catwalk ran over 150 meters at the first floor of the famous Paris landmark.
Designer Beinta Poulsen of Soul Made Faroe Islands was selected to represent her country – the Faroe Islands – on the occasion. She showcased her Autumn Cool knitwear collection. Being established in 2005, Soul Made Faroe Islands is known for its classic yet modern and feminine designs and especially for its knitwear.
Nordic Style Magazine spoke with Beinta Poulsen about her experiences at the J Autumn Fashion Show.
I just felt very honoured. Jessica Minh Anh has a team of people that makes research on brands which are suitable for the show. Somehow they came across Soul Made Faroe Islands and invited us to join the show. It is very flattering.
I especially liked the setting of the show – it all looked amazing. It still feels so surreal that Soul Made Faroe Islands was chosen to be part of it. It made me very happy and I´m grateful. The showcase of our collection was perfect. The models looked gorgeous and the music, done by Faroese producer and singer Dan Helgi í Gong, was great.
The J Autumn Fashion Show is an event exclusively for press and VIP. For me, it was amazing meeting all these important journalists and VIP after the show. They showed a lot of interest in our brand.
We have just completed the photo shoot for our spring collection. The atmospheric fog photos were taken by the talented Faroese photographer Sunrid í Gong. Otherwise, I want the brand to grow of course. I think we are on a very good path. The Eiffel Tower show was a great door opener for us.
