Try this Easy-to-make Omega 3 Crispy Bread instead of your normal bread. It´s low glycemic, has no added sugar and is rich in vitamins and minerals. So much better for you than your regular piece o´toast.
1 deciliter seed mix (sunflower seeds/pumpkin seeds/buckwheat/sesame seeds)
1 deciliter ground linseeds/flax
1/2 deciliter chia seeds
1 deciliter pine nuts
1 deciliter whole spelt flour
1/2 deciliter nutritional yeast
2 tbsps fresh basil leaves, cut small
1 clove garlic, pressed
1/2 tbsp dried timian
1/2 tbsp sea salt (e.g. Maldon salt)
1/2 sweet red paprika, chopped small
Juice from 1/2 a lemon
3 deciliters water
Mix everything together in a bowl. Let the mixture stand for about 15 minutes enabling the seeds to soak up some of the water. Make a ball out of the dough and put it on a non-stick baking tray/baking paper. Put baking paper on top of the dough, evenly flattening it out with your hands. Remove the top paper. Carefully, run a pizza wheel over the dough in the sizes you want the bread to be in. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C. Place the baking tray in the center of the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
The recipe makes 12-30 pieces (depending on how small/large you cut them).
