Edgy and always one step ahead, that’s how I would describe the designs by Ann-Sofie Back. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection presented during Fashion Week in Stockholm was, as expected, not commercial, which is refreshing but this time a few pieces felt unusually wearable.
Big safety pins are important details, creating a draping which enhances the asymmetric cuts. There’s a great variety of fabric and we see everything from leather and fringed denim to satin and bonded knits. The most important detail is definitely the silhouette, the marked waists and bare shoulders.
The models had a spiky short hairstyle named The BACKcomb, which is yet another creation by BACK in collaboration with Redken and hairstylist Rudi Lewis.
Ann-Sofie Back will never, ever fail. She’s a genius without comparison.
