Fashion Week Stockholm SS15 – News

Oh boy, if only time could fly a little bit faster. All Swedish brands to present their S/S 15 collections at Fashion Week Stockholm have been released along with a tight eventful schedule for three hectic days in late August. Since the first event in 2005 it has grown to become one of the most important fashion weeks in Northern Europe.

We are glad to see a bunch of brands, such as AltewaiSaome, Cheap Monday and BACK, returning yet again this time. But we are even more intrigued to witness some of the new additions to the repertoire like Björn Borg, Deitas and Isabell Yalda Hellysaz. The latter of which making a debut as a “solo act” at Fashion Week Stockholm. We’ve seen her previous work at smaller shows accompanied by other designers.

Surprisingly though, Tiger of Sweden will not present a new collection this season. The brand has, as years gone by, held phenomenal closing shows and will therefore be missed.

The biggest news, however, is not regarding any brands or the actual shows, but the sponsors. Mercedes-Benz is no longer the main sponsor and, plausibly, the name of the fashion week has changed from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm to the shorter and more stylish Fashion Week Stockholm.

The anticipation is sky high and if you, like us, are so eager to experience everything a fashion week has to bring – no panic, we decided to ease all of our longings, if only momentarily, by reminding ourselves of collections from the past. So go for it, check out the links and photos below.
