The Swedish mega-brand H&M showed the H&M Studio, the name of their season based collections, fall/winter 14 collection at the Grand Palais during Paris Fashion Week.
While thinking of H&M there is undoubtedly no question that this is the brand for everyone. No matter your style, there has to be something to like, something that you have an urge to get. Of course it also looks good at a reasonable price.
This collection feels luxurious yet wearable on an everyday basis. There is a great variety of designs with almost every possible type of garment. We have pants, suits, long dresses, short dresses, blouses, faux furs, coats, jackets, you name it – it’s there. H&M manages to capture the whole spectra of colors with a wide palette from deep blue to spicy tangerine, camel and chocolaty brown. Not only does the color vary, the garments have everything from sequins to leather to cashmere and silk.
In the past H&M has been a cheaper alternative to the designs you actually want. But slowly it becomes clear that the brand has the possibility to bring something new to the table. I always say that H&M has the capability and possibility to change the world. The crowd they reach and the impact they have on people in so many countries across the globe is unimaginable. They can dress every man and woman, giving them a great style, as well as taking responsibility towards the environment and being a role model to all smaller brands out there.
Here’s a challenge for you, try to find something NOT to like.
