The sixth edition of DesignMarch in Iceland is starting on the March 27 until March 30, organized by Iceland Design Centre. There will be around 100 exciting events, openings and exhibitions happening around Reykjavik such as fashion to furniture, architecture to experience design. The festival showcases the local designer and well-known international names. DesignMarch is opening with DesignTalks on March 27 in Silfurberg, Harpa. Dealing with Reality is the headline for this event. The speakers are leaders from the creative industries, architects and international designers such as Calvin Klein one of the world’s leading Fashion Designers, Robert Wong the Chief Creative Officer of Google Creative Lab and Mikael Schiller the Executive Chairman of the Acne Studios.
Reykjavik Fashion Festival is held for the fifth time this year at March 29. Eight exciting designers will showcase their design on the catwalk in Harpa. The fashion labels are Farmers Market, JÖR, Magnea, REY, ELLA by El, Cintamani, Sigga Maija and Ziska.
The festival identity for DesignMarch 2014 is designed by experience designer Friðrik Steinn Friðriksson and fashion designer Laufey Jónsdóttir.

The Countless Colours of Icelandic Design is the topic for the design store Epal. They will present a diverse group of interesting Icelandic design.
At Gallery Fabúla is an event called Fabulists situated at the old harbour. There you can explore their new jewellery, photographs, textiles, paintings, design and ceramics.
The New Kid’s Block is the headline for an event happening at City Hall. Showcasing graduation projects by Iceland’s latest generation of architect.
