New music video from Bloodgroup just launched this week Nothing is Written in the Stars of their latest full length album Tracing Echoes. The slow song is haunting, sad, enchanting and sends a chill down the spine. The video is shoot in Reykjavik and in black and white, directed by Heiðrik á Heygum, has this film noir feel about it and bares resemblance to ’50 and ’60s thrillers, Hitchcock came to mind when I saw it first.
Interesting enough the casting is quite remarkable where the current singer Sunna Margrét Þórisdóttir plays the lead role as a stalker and ex-vocalist of Bloodgroup Lilja Kristín Jónsdóttir plays the part of girlfriend/victim, it creates a conversation between reality and fiction where the current singer takes out the original singer with a blow to the head. Also mind they do quite look a like. Uneasy feeling, thrilling and brilliantly done, Nothing is Written in the Stars !
