The Nordic Music Prize

The Nordic Music Prize is an annual award for the Best Nordic Album Of The Year. The prize was initiated by the by:Larm conference in 2010 and the first Nordic Music Prize winner was Icelandic singer/songwriter Jónsi for his album GO. Last year’s winner was the Swedish Goren Kajfes with his album XY.

The nominees for best Nordic music album for 2012 have now been released and the list represents, as before, the cream of the crop in Nordic music scene.

When going through the list we came across some artist we had not heard of before and were pleasantly surprised. Maybe you’ll get to know some of your future favorite artists when going through the nominees. Check out the list of nominees for the Nordic music prize 2012 here.

We hope you will enjoy some of the Nordic countries most talented musicians!

Here are some of their beautiful album covers.
